Enjoy the Cheltenham Festival in Style in a Luxurious Box
January 27, 2017
The Cheltenham Festival is one of the highlights on the sporting calendar each year. Horse racing fans make the trip down to Gloucestershire in their numbers for the meeting which takes place across four days. Whether you have been to the Cheltenham Festival before or you are looking to go for the first time in March, how about considering doing it in style this year in one of the luxurious boxes at the racecourse? Here are some of the advantages you will get from a private box at the meeting.
Best View in Racing
A box at Cheltenham gives you a fantastic panorama of the course. As they overlook the home straight, you are right at the heart of the action when it comes to the closing stages of the racing. You will also have a better view of the far side of the course, something you which you can’t get when you are stood on the same level as the track. This is particularly helpful for the Cross Country Chase, which was won by Josies Order in 2016.

If you are going to Cheltenham this year on Gold Cup day, you may get the opportunity to see a superstar in the making as Thistlecrack is the evens favourite in the Cheltenham 2017 betting online. He is unbeaten over fences this season and was the winner of the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day to establish himself as the horse to beat this year at the Festival.

A whole range of food and drink packages can be added to your box at Cheltenham to make sure your day is special. Whether you are looking for a sit-down meal or a gourmet buffet, you will be catered for. In terms of drinks, all the boxes have fridges which can be stocked with your favourite drinks, while there is a full bar available inside the grandstand for all box holders to use so you don’t have to worry about the queues around the racecourse.
Cheltenham has some of the best luxurious boxes of any racecourse in the UK and Ireland. The main grandstand which houses the boxes only just opened in 2015, therefore they have invested heavily in their hospitality for the Festival and other meetings which they host throughout the national hunt season at the home of jumps racing. As you can see from the infographic below, The Jockey Club, which own Cheltenham racecourse, have spent over £80 million on their facilities in in the last 30 years to make sure they can offer racegoers the best day out possible.
You will be able to relax and sit down during your day on comfortable chairs and sofas in your box. There is a television screen for you to watch replays of the racing or if you’d prefer to stay inside while the racing is on.
Cheltenham can sometimes get really cold in March if we experience a day winter but you will stay really warm inside the box with heating that can be adjusted to your comfort.
If you are lucky enough to be going to the Cheltenham Festival in a box this year, enjoy your day and hopefully you’ll back a few winners and go home with some more money in your pocket to make your stay even more special.
