My husband and I stayed in the Royal Suite with a private balcony and amazing views of the Oudeschans Canal.  I can easily say it was one of the most beautifully designed rooms I’ve ever stayed in!  The room features a spacious open-plan living room, marble bathroom, extra-large king size bed and private balcony for taking in the stunning views of the canals.  On arrival we were greeted with two glasses of champagne and his and hers treats from the L’Occitane Jasmine and Bergamot range that is provided throughout the hotel.

The five-star property facilitates 25 luxury suites varying 50 to 90 square metres and accommodates a King size bed, a fully equipped kitchen with complimentary mini bar and Nespresso coffee, a spacious bathroom with bath and walk-in shower with luxurious L’Occitane toiletries,soft bathrobes and slippers.  You can choose between the Luxury Suite (50m²), the Royal Suite (70m²), the Royal Penthouse Suite (75m²) and the Imperial Suite (90m²).  The rooms are elegant and contemporary designed and display a modern minimal look.  Guests can enjoy the hotel bar and kitchen, 24-hours reception and the free one-way Airport Transfer with private driver.  The fitness facility is open 24 hours a day with the option of a personal trainer at notice. Next to the fitness facility the hotel offers a playground for the little guests to enjoy toys and crafts.  For guests looking to be pampered the hotel offers professional masseurs with the option of eight different types of massages such as the aromatherapy and the deep tissue massage.

Luxury Suites Amsterdam is located in the historic city centre,  Amsterdam’s famous sights such as the Dam Square, Waterlooplein, Rembrandtplein and Nieuwmarkt are just a short walk away.  The 9 Streets shopping area is 1,3.1 miles away and P.C. Hooftstraat with its luxury shops is 2-3.1 miles away.  Royal Palace Amsterdam is 750 yards from Luxury Suites Amsterdam, while Rembrandt House Museum is a 3-minute walk.  The nearest airport is Schiphol Airport, 7.5 miles from Luxury Suites Amsterdam and accessible by taxi or public transport.  Central Station is 1 tram stop away.  This winter every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the hotel organises a complimentary walking tour through Amsterdam for 2 hours with Anne- Marie the local guide.

Sightseeing in Amsterdam is of course a must.  The City is steeped in historical and cultural treasures.  We were lucky to visit Amsterdam during the Light Festival Edition which takes place between the 29th November and the 20th January.  It’s a show to be seen best by walking or by boat.  A recommendation from myself to all creative and art lovers.

We found our own luxury paradise that offers everything we needed for a relaxing break.  The service is outstanding but nothing beats how delicious the breakfast menu is.  The breakfast is served from the a la carte menu from 8:00-11:00 am daily.  The best part is that you can ask for your breakfast to be served in your suite.  We tried the Eggs Benedicts and the Egg Bruschetta for mains and shared a plate of American pancakes with Nutella and berries.
