This year has seen several glamourous new beach bars open along Pampelonne Beach, and there’s one thing everyone wants to know – what food are they serving? Below, we look at how the new St Tropez beach clubs’ menus fare against everyone’s longstanding favourite, Club 55, which has set the standard high for sumptuous beachside cuisine.
The best of St Tropez beach clubs’ menus
Le Club 55 Beach Club, Boulevard Patch
One of the absolute best St Tropez beach clubs, this is where the rich and famous relax every summer, doubtless due to the club’s philosophy that the customer is not king – he’s a best friend.
On the Club 55 St Tropez menu you’ll find fresh salads, grilled steaks or steak tartare, roasted farm chicken with tarragon, grilled sardines and other fresh seasonal fish, followed by a cheese platter, chocolate cake, fresh fruits or ice-cream.
So, how do the new St Tropez beach clubs’ menus measure up against the Club 55 St Tropez menu?
Byblos Beach Club, Boulevard Patch

For main courses, mixed fried fish or beef tartare, grilled catch-of-the-day or octopus, king prawns served with green zebra tomatoes and basil juice, or spare ribs of pork with Corsican honey. Finish with fresh fruit, organic ice-cream, pannacotta with berries, pavlova or a chocolate eclair.
Loulou Beach Club, Tamares
At this sister club of Loulou Paris, expect a relaxed Mediterranean setting and an uncomplicated French-Italian Riviera menu.
On the Loulou Beach Club menu: share mezze dishes with friends, and indulge in pizzas, asparagus risotto or linguine with fresh clams, and delightfully extravagant lobster creations.

Verde Beach, L’Epi, Pampelonne Beach
Brought to St Tropez by Yeeels, owners of Verde Paris and the Jacopo Parisian bistro, the décor is cosy but contemporary. The Mediterranean-inspired menu was created by Michelin-starred Thibault Sombardier, so of all the St Tropez beach clubs’ menus, this one promises to be special.
