The Best Luxury Hen Weekends in the UK
July 10, 2018
From lavish pool parties and five-star country pads – to having exclusive use of your own spa – here’s Luxuria Lifestyle’s round-up of the most sophisticated hen weekend ideas in the UK. No L-plates or strippers in sight!
Throw Your Own Private Pool Party
Fancy an Ibiza-style pool party with your own bar, DJ and dance floor? Then head to Liverpool.
Morgan’s Vault is hidden under the 30 James Street Hotel – and has to be one of the most luxurious rooms we’ve ever seen. A spa by day, the subterranean hideaway transforms into your very own pool party at night.
Featuring a 40ft hydrotherapy pool with rainfall effect, it also comes with two deluxe double Jacuzzi whirlpool baths. Prices start from £1,500 in the week and £3,600 at weekends.
Or try the champagne inspired Laurent Perrier Pool Room at The Shankly Hotel. Spread over two floors, and centred around the magnificent 25ft mosaic pool, it can sleep 24 people, and each cabin has a flat screen TV in the ceiling. Prices vary.
Book through the Signature Living website.
Have Exclusive Use of Your Own Spa
If luxury pampering is your idea of hen heaven, then rent out your own private spa!
Sip champagne poolside at the Thermae Bath Spa in Bath – the only thermal spa in the country.
The open-air rooftop pool has spectacular views over the city, while the Cross Bath can be booked exclusively for groups of up to 10 people.
Stay at a five-star hotel and make your own bespoke hen package, with extras such as treasure hunting, gin tasting afternoon tea, vintage hair and make-up – or get crafty and make your own nipple tassels!
Book through Orchid City and Spa. Prices start from £239 per person for two nights.
Lap Up the Luxury In A Five Star Country Pad
If you’d rather lap up the five-star treatment in a sprawling country pad, Unique Home Stays has a range of stunning properties to suit hen parties of all sizes.
Check out their sophisticated hen-approved pads, which include luxury features such as hot tubs, heated pools, private bars, cinema rooms and amazing alfresco spaces fit for even the fussiest brides-to-be.
Smaller hen parties can stay at The Stack, an impressive 19th century converted engine house in Cornwall, which sleeps up to six people.
Midsize hen parties should stay in the Ariabelle, a to-die-for French chateau-style mansion in West Sussex, which can fit 11 adults.
While the Boheme in Somerset, an idyllic boho farmhouse, is the ideal base for groups of up to 20.
As if that wasn’t enough, you can add hen party extras, such as luxury pampering, dinner cooked by professional chefs and fizz and wine delivered right to your door.
Book through www.uniquehomestays.com or call 01637 881183. Prices vary.
Throw A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party At This Alice in Wonderland Themed House
If you fancy a themed hen do with oodles of class, look no further than Wonderland House. Lose yourself down the rabbit hole in this Alice in Wonderland inspired Brighton retreat.
Arranged over five floors, the house sleeps up to 24 guests. Stay in the Mirror Mirror room, Flamingo Dreams room, or my personal favourite, The Queen of Hearts room – complete with playing card bed.
While you’re there, it would be rude not to indulge in a Mad Hatters Tea party. There’s also chocolate making workshops, vintage makeovers and a Laughter Gym!
Smaller hen parties of up to eight can stay in the nearby Looking Glass Cottage in The Lanes, which also features nods to Lewis Carroll at every turn.
Book through the Wonderland House website. Prices start at £645 for a weekend at Looking Glass Cottage and £2,800 at Wonderland House.
