The Winter Forest at Broadgate’s Exchange Square
This winter, The Winter Forest pops-up at Broadgate’s Exchange Square. Surrounded by an enchanting snow-covered forest in the heart of London, visitors to Exchange Square can watch films in the Tipi Cinema, enjoy mulled wine and prosecco under the stars at the Bar & Grill or book private-dining booths in The Hideaway. The Winter Forest, made up of majestic pine trees is set to be a must-visit destination this winter. Head over to Charlotte’s in Ealing for a cosy night on their winter terrace complete with blankets, fairy lights, hot cocktails and roasted chestnuts. A converted warehouse with big tables and banquette seating, Charlotte’s W5 will unveil their winter wonderland on the terrace on 2nd November with it running right through until January. Indulge in hot cocktails from the Sipsmith Boys like the Winter Sloe Gin or the Winter Negroni while Ealing chocolatier Lucy Savage has created a decadent hot chocolate to warm the cockles on a winter eve! The Tree of Glass at Aqua Shard
Leading UK designer Lee Broom has teamed up with global design brand Nude to unveil ‘The Tree of Glass’ at Aqua Shard on the 31st floor of the Shard. The illuminated sculptural take on a traditional Christmas tree has been inspired by the architecture of The Shard itself and the silhouette on the London skyline. With 245 hand-blown glass LED pendant lights which float in formation, the cascading installation will be available to marvel at from 14th November until early January 2018. Raising money for a number of charities, each of the lights will also be available to buy from www.leebroom.com with all funds going to British Red Cross, while 50% of sales on Aqua Shard’s special dessert and cocktail will also be donated.
Christmas is set to get messy with the latest festive installment from Slap Ya Papa and Marbles & Ware. Nicky’s Imaginarium will launch Christmess on the 15th November in the Victorian surroundings of The Hunter Penrose on Southwark Street. With a pop-up bar, deep-Southern feasts, parties, live jazz, cabaret and bazaar, St Nicky is in the mood for mischief which includes dancing on the tables (once you’ve eaten a 12 dish lunch or dinner from Slap Ya Papa). Guaranteed to satisfy the biggest of appetites and the sweetest of teeth, Galvin at The Athenaeum are now offering guests a true ‘eat your heart out experience’ with Bottomless Puddings and Prosecco throughout November. The three course Saturday lunch includes Spiced Iron bark pumpkin risotto, Grilled Native Lobster, and a Jubilee lamb curry, while Sunday lunch sees guests enjoying a traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings for just £45pp. Kids can join in the fun too with a special two course lunch including mocktails available for just £9.50 along with unlimited puds. New Pop-Up with Celebrated Chef John Gregory-Smith at Great Guns Social
From 15-18th November at Great Guns Social, chef and best-selling writer John Gregory-Smith will be taking diners on a culinary adventure through Morocco – from the Atlas Mountains to the Atlantic coast, all inspired by his new cookbook Orange Blossom & Honey after travelling through North Africa. The set menu costs £39.50pp and includes a welcome cocktail, while guests will get to enjoy not only music and a delicious feast, but tales of John’s time in Morocco from staying with the mountain tribes to living with local families learning traditional recipes.

Borthwick Castle Dining Club Inspired by Guy Fawkes
The stunning Borthwick Castle will play host to a delicious Guy Fawkes inspired dining experience on 4th November as the ‘Autumn at Borthwick’ menu showcases the best of Scottish fare. With welcome cocktails created by the Castle’s mixologist and a six course dinner from Roux-trained chef Derek Johnstone, you can expect an Amuse Bouche of Roasted butternut squash veloute with freshly brown crab and mango, a starter of mallard duck torte with spiced cranberries and for the main dish, an East Lothian hay-smoked loin of roe deer, served with red cabbage, pickled autumn fruits & crunchy pearl barley. Bonfire Tea at The Tamburlaine Hotel
Serving up indoor fireworks this November, visitors and guests to The Tamburlaine Hotel in Cambridge can expect a Bonfire Night inspired Afternoon Tea with warming flavours of cinnamon, treacle and chocolate courtesy of Head Pastry Chef Jérôme Viard. Included in the limited edition offering, there will be mini pumpkin pie, triple layered brownie, toffee crab apple filled with honey crémeux, cinnamon doughnut, carrot cake, and blackberry and pear frozen parfait, topped off with fireworks and served with Gunpowder tea. Tea is served in the Garden Room where it’s impossible not to snap some pics for Instagram – especially those gorgeous pink velvet couches! Priced at £21.50pp, Bonfire Tea is available until 30th November.
Matt Roberts Daily Dose Café Opens
This month sees the opening of fitness expert Matt Roberts’ first café on Berkeley Street, Mayfair in partnership with London’s largest cold press juice producer Daily Dose. The latest addition to Matt’s fitness empire will specialise in high quality protein-based products with of the smoothies on the menu containing a base of 15g of protein to help with recovery following workouts. With coffee from Ozone and fruit and veg based smoothies, like the ‘Healthy Green’ with banana, kale, spinach, cucumber, ginger, almond butter and natural spirulina protein, a range of juices will include the ‘Black Lemonade’ juice recommended for the morning after a heavy night out! Using ‘wonky’ fruit rejected from supermarkets, the cafe will also encourage customers to reduce, reuse and recycle where possible. Opening 6th November 7am-5pm.
