The Perception at W London – Party With the WOW Factor in the Heart of Leicester Square
November 8, 2017
Lighting up a drizzly Tuesday evening, was the long awaited launch of The Perception at W London – an extraordinary and opulent space which if you’re looking for glitz and glamour, is most definitely set to be the go-to every night of the week…
The sparkly new bar and lounge seamlessly blends different areas and now features a huge round DJ booth, statement bar area, and sumptuous seating areas sectioned off with stunning gold beaded curtains.
Supping on Veuve Clicquot and indulging in platters of steak, foie gras tartlets and mini lemon meringue pies, the crowd were treated to sets from some of the hottest DJ’s, whilst mingling with stars including Amber Le Bon, Ella Eyre and Pixie Lott. The sound system is also incredible and has to be heard to be believed, while there’s also interactive DJ booths to make your own fun!
Mixing together London’s most iconic eras and trends, Amsterdam-based designer Concrete led the project with The Perception boasting a black and gold colour palette, against the backdrop of the iconic giant glitter ball which hangs from the ceiling at the back of the lounge. With both intimate and social sitting areas and a discreet partition wall which can section off the back of the club, the revolving curved sofa, spherical mirrored ceiling and abstract neon artworks, make The Perception London’s coolest new addition.
Furthermore, there’s a new dining series which will kick off with Australian-born Magnus Reid, owner of Shoreditch haunt, C.R.E.A.M and Hackney favourite, Legs. Served exclusively in the W Lounge, there’ll be dishes such as burrata with chilli jam and fried garlic or big plates like the whole roast market fish. Accompanying the new food menu, Ulises Guerrero Galvez, Head Barman at W, has created cocktails which each tell a theatrical story, like ‘Enjoy the Show’ which contains popcorn infused Woodford reserve, chocolate bitters and Coca-Cola foam! In collaboration with Mixcloud, W London’s new cultural programme will include big name DJ’s, and a calendar of not-to-be-missed events along with screenings, workshops and talks from the city’s most
influential and creative minds.
As a hub to connect and recharge through the day, The Perception at W London will be open 8am – 1.30am Sunday to Thursday and until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
