VILA VITA PARC announces A-List Line-up for the biennial Fine Wines & Food Fair (5-13 May 2019)

The Algarve’s most prestigious resort will host some of the world’s best culinary stars this spring during the VILA VITA Fine Wine & Food Fair. The celebration of gastronomy takes place every two years at the luxury property, located in a picturesque clifftop setting on the enchanted Algarve coast. This year’s event will take place over eight days from 5-13 May and will include a programme of inspiring gastronomic experiences, including a series of exclusive themed dinners with VILA VITA Parc’s own culinary mastermind from Ocean restaurant, Hans Neuner, cooking alongside an impressive line-up of international chef talent and top winemakers and gourmet producers.

These culinary masterminds will cook alongside Hans Neuner in the resort’s two Michelin- starred Ocean and Atlantico restaurants for intimate audiences of between 30 to 80 diners, with prices starting from € 310 per person including wines and a selection of amuse- bouches.

The week will kick-off with a traditional Portuguese Assado (barbecue), a new edition to this year’s programme, taking place on 5 May at Herdade dos Grous, VILA VITA Parc’s own organic farm and vineyard located in the neighbouring Alentejo region.

Wine aficionados will also have opportunities to join in on extraordinary masterclass workshops with some of the most renowned winemakers in the world.

A veritable highlight of the festival is the lively Kitchen Party, a true epicurean celebration, taking place on Saturday 11 May in the VILA VITA Clubhouse featuring the guest chefs and winemakers working together to create culinary magic for over 500 guests. Tickets for the Kitchen Party start from €295 per person.

Gastronomy is at the heart of the VILA VITA PARC experience with 11 innovative dining venues to choose from ranging from casual beachside dining and rustic, regional Portuguese plates to one-of- a-kind culinary creations at the two Michelin-starred restaurant and inventive Japanese cuisine. There is a strong emphasis on using only the freshest, seasonal local ingredients with the majority of produce sourced from sister farm, Herdade dos Grous.

Vila Vita Parc enhances its wellness centre

The Algarve’s most prestigious clifftop resort, VILA VITA Parc Resort & Spa has partnered with iconic French cosmetic brand Sisley Paris to launch the property’s new look state-of-the-art 17,250sq ft spa, which has just opened. The completion of the new spa which is the only Sisley-branded spa in Portugal also marks the culmination of the resort renovations which have taken place over the last four years.

The new tranquil VILA VITA Spa by Sisley, housed within the existing spa building, is a sanctuary of wellness features a contemporary new design inspired by the region’s enchanting sea caves, including natural stone and restful tones of blue and green to reflect the many hues of the Atlantic Ocean. The new space comprises 14 elegant treatment rooms,all equipped with the latest Gharieni line, a yoga garden pavilion offering both group and private sessions including “aerial yoga”, the existing Hypoxi-Studio* – an innovative body contouring method, exclusive in Portugal – as well as the addition of three new dedicated spa suites.

Guests will be able to choose from a carefully curated menu of Sisley’s signature results- driven facial and body treatments that combine an advanced scientific approach with the finest natural ingredients, including plant extracts and essential oils that have been rigorously selected for their biological properties and according to their affinity with the skin, as well as holistic and signature treatments. The stylish manicure and pedicure area will offer excusive treatments from the prestigious British brand Margaret Dabbs.

Outside of the spa, sporty guests can take advantage of the abundance of outdoor activities on offer (with tuition if required) including multiple swimming pools, tennis and volleyball courts, mini-football, badminton, mini-golf, a driving range, a putting green and a pitch and putt green. Water sports including pedal boats, sailboats, laser boats, canoes, water-skiing, surfing, banana boats and windsurfing are available at the Arte Náutica Beach Club. From the resort ́s beach, guests can also enjoy stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, scuba diving, or boat trips to visit the nearby sea caves.

Also nearby are excellent facilities for horse riding, windsurfing, hiking and biking.

Fresh, organic, wholesome and nutritionally-balanced dishes are available throughout the resort’s multiple drinking and dining venues with the majority of produce sourced from VILA VITA PARC’S sister farm Herdade dos Grous, as well as the introduction of new healthy dishes now offering vegetarian/flexitarian and gluten/lactose free options, recommended by the resort ́s own nutritionist.
