New, Luxurious & Exclusive – Blanco Beach Club in the Algarve

July 24, 2017

If you’re looking for the height of exclusivity this summer and a luxurious party paradise, then Blanco Beach Club in Praia da Rocha, Portimão is the new ‘pool cool’ and the place you’ll want to be seen this year.

Effortlessly mixing top class DJ acts with an unrivalled glamorous experience, Blanco Beach Club has taken inspiration from some of the best beach clubs around and then turned it up a notch for the ultimate day club to sunset party, and by evening, it’s transformed into a full on night club which is pretty much off the chain.

Having just opened this July, Luxuria Lifestyle UK were among some of the first to visit the Algarve’s stunning new venue.  Offering up luxury and the height of entertainment in one opulent package, Blanco Beach Club fuses effortlessly into one open air venue, a huge stage and DJ stand, custom designed cabanas, several private jacuzzis, four poster beds and circular loungers which are all centred around a azure blue 20 metre pool.

The dream of Founder Maximillian White (hospitality, property and music mogul) to create something that little big special in an area which isn’t necessarily the first place you’d think of for exclusive pool party vibes, has most definitely been achieved.

We invested in a sunken VIP area by the stage to ensure we soaked up maximum atmosphere whilst guaranteeing we were in exactly the right place to see Tyga bring the house down, with further nights featuring Richy Ahmed and the legendary Roger Sanchez.  Against the backdrop of blistering beats, we soothed our sun baked skin with balthazars of Dom Perignon and magnums of Ciroc vodka.  Espresso martinis and other delights from the Blanco Beach Club cocktail menu were washed down with stunning plates of beautifully presented sushi, sashimi and ceviches while the music pumped and the dance floor started to fill up against the backdrop of Praia da Rocha’s idyllic coastline.

Not just offering up a party all night experience though, during the day, Blanco Beach Club is the perfect place to ease that champagne hangover, lounging by the pool, and soaking up the uber glam atmosphere of the crowd around.  Lounging on the ultra cool pool deck with sharp white styling,  immaculate lines and ultra trendy furnishings makes for an air of exclusivity you won’t find elsewhere – just make sure you have that perfect golden tan to compliment the scene!

If for any reason you want to take a break from this amazing haven, head a few minutes up the road to the fabulous Bela Vista Hotel & Spa – Relais & Chateâux, an adult hotel, pool and spa boasting the beautiful Vista Restaurante.  This fine dining restaurant with a fabulous outdoor terrace has sea views out over the cliffs of Praia da Rocha.  We ate here many times and can wholeheartedly recommend their Rum Espresso Martinis (a great recommendation from our friends) washed down with some absolutely delicious international cuisine.  Overseen by chef João Oliviera, try the seafood paella, the to-die-for langoustine and the fish of the day (buttery melt-in-the-mouth John Dory when we visited).

With Blanco Beach Club situated smack bang in the middle of Praia da Rocha, if you love the hustle and bustle of the party atmosphere, we’d recommend a stay at the Jupiter Hotel which is a stones throw away from all the action.   But if a relaxing break with the occasional party night is more your thing, then somewhere like Villas d’Agua nestled between Albufeira and Vilamora might be a good place to base yourself.  Right by the sea and with most apartments sporting views out across the ocean, Villas d’Agua has spacious apartments, a restaurant and bar area and expansive pool and lounging area.  Blanco Beach Club is approximately 45 minutes away by taxi.

With Portugal set to become the new go to party destination for the professional jet set party crowd, we’d suggest you check out Blanco Beach Club’s line up asap and get your flight booked before word gets out…
