The experience

Upon arrival, it was apparent the whole team were on hand to make your stay an enjoyable one. We were greeted by Tracey, who showed us to our room and gave us a tour of the hotel. Donnington Valley has a bedroom to suit every mood – Classic & elegant, Executive & superior or Suite & spacious – the choice is yours!

The Executive rooms are extremely spacious with an open-plan lounge area. Many have peaceful views over the golfing fairways and rolling Berkshire countryside.

You can expect complimentary wifi, flat-screen TVs, and the ability to be completely relaxed on the hotel grounds. Donnington Valley is the perfect escape for business or pleasure. Donnington is the perfect location for a getaway, centrally located for adventures in the Cotswolds, Oxford and the South Coast. You can easily tick all of the boxes for culture, art, history and beautiful landscapes to explore.

Dining

The 2 AA rosette award-winning restaurant, The WinePress, brings together great British food and wines from around the world, in a relaxed and contemporary dining room. You can expect to find great British favourites on the menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create delicious, hearty dishes.

The HangOut is a great concept and you can enjoy an al fresco dining experience with delicious food, a great selection of cocktails & drinks and live music from Club Kudo on selected nights.

Who doesn’t love a good old British Afternoon Tea?! At Donnington Valley, you can enjoy sandwiches, a selection of teas, homemade cakes and scrumptious scones, jam and clotted cream. This is perfect for celebrating occasions or a get-together with your friends!

Spa

One thing that stood out during my stay at Donnington Valley was the impressive Spa. The Spa was a light, uplifting space with a list of heavenly treatments, professional therapists and a menu designed to leave you feeling relaxed, revitalised and carefree. This Spa really did tick all the boxes for me and Nicki my lovely Spa therapist was very accommodating and made me feel relaxed. I had the pleasure of having a gel manicure and pedicure, I opted for bright Barbie pink vibes!

When arriving for my treatment, I was kindly greeted by the staff and offered a drink. The Spa was set on the higher floor, with amazing views over the country fields. You could see this view by exiting through the double doors of the Spa onto a balcony. You had the option of sitting inside or waiting on comfy chairs in the Spa waiting area. The room was lit with lovely candles and it set the tone of instant relaxation! There was nothing the staff wouldn’t do and they did go above and beyond to show you around and make you feel welcome.

The luxury spa treatment menu brings together the finest spa products with the most effective and exquisite treatments. Germaine de Capuccini offers a uniquely tailored approach to skin care. With products designed to treat not just a specific skin concern but also a specific skin type ensuring you get the right results from your skincare. Their range of signature, facial and body treatments are delivered by their highly trained therapists and provide an experience like no other spa treatment.

When using the pool, you can order food and drink to enjoy at your leisure on the beds or at the table’s poolside. This created a holiday feel and again, made you feel so relaxed! I had a delicious Chicken Caesar Salad which went down a treat after using the facilities.
