For Last Minute Valentines Luxury, head to Harvey Nichols OXO Tower

Does it set your heart all aflutter, or just leave you feeling a little queasy? Whatever February 14 means to you this year, take your significant other or best friend to one of the finest hot spots in London, OXO Tower Brasserie.

Picture yourself with the bright city lights, sparkling Champagne and incredible Latin jazz music (that’s what we had playing when we arrived), creating the gorgeous ambience that OXO is renowned for. This spot is one of the most beautiful in the city of London and the charming staff are at your service.

The Manager on the night, Mike, attended to our every need, which was predominantly champagne pouring, as we sipped the wonderful OXO champagne, truly magnificent. What more would you expect from the world’s leading luxury retailer, Harvey Nichols though?

The answer… plenty!

We started with red wine braised beef cheek open ravioli, mushroom mousse, parsley dressing, truffle cheese, it was beautifully cooked and the mousse to die for.

The main course was roasted cod, white bean, parsley and mussel cassoulet and saffron aioli. The cod was cooked perfectly and compliments were sent straight to the chef. We sat there discussing the view over the river and watching the hustle and bustle in the kitchen… It’s great to watch, really the kitchen is huge and we had the perfect spot right by the window.

Dessert, my favourite course (always) was a chocolate and fig leaf mousse, raspberry and rose gel, this is unique to the menu and was beautifully made. It was light, refreshing and perfectly presented. The Head Chef at OXO Tower has specially created a beautiful menu for the Brasserie to showcase the very best of British produce. Take a look at the menu here.

There’s only one place that ticks the box to guarantee a food-induced swoon, a view and a little bit of romance, and that’s here.

We will definitely be back for more evenings here, it was an utter delight. Whether you’re a Valentine or Galentine, this is the spot to spoil the one you love spending time with and shouldn’t be missed.

The OXO Tower Valentine’s Day  menu is only available February 14th from 6 pm-11 pm and costs £100 per person and comes with a bottle of OXO Champagne. Dishes from the restaurant include langoustine ravioli, chateaubriand for two and a smoked white chocolate panna cotta.
