This June, Southbank hotel Sea Containers London is celebrating the start of British Summertime with the re-opening of its rooftop bar 12th Knot. Following a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic, the bar will re-open its doors with a re-imagined summer offering and ‘Sunset Series’ of live music events created in collaboration with premium gin brand BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® and the UK’s number one mixer brand Fever-Tree.

Launching from 24th June, the ‘Sunset Series’ will be a programme of weekly music events, made up of an eclectic and upbeat mix of music genres, from a four-piece jazz band to funk & soul DJs and classic 45s vinyl nights. Set against a backdrop of unrivalled views across to St Paul’s and the City of London, the live entertainment will be accompanied by a bespoke menu of highball cocktails inspired by BOMBAY SAPPHIRE SUNSET® – a new aromatic Special-Edition gin inspired by the universal glow of the setting sun. The gin is the ultimate sundowner, perfect for reconnecting and unwinding with friends as the sun descends and day becomes night, lending itself beautifully to the Sunset Series.

Rosemary, thyme, mint, lime zest, lime juice, Bombay Sapphire Sunset & Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic.

A menu of grazing and sharing plates will accompany the drinks, including classics such as Oysters, Ceviche Tacos, Salt Beef Croquettes and Charcuterie boards. For those looking to toast to the start of summer, there is also a new and extensive champagne and sparking wine menu available, with a range of suggested food parings.

12th Knot G&T

The perfect spot to reunite with friends and family to celebrate all occasions, 12th Knot will also be re-opening its summer terrace. Celebrating the theme of summertime and sunsets, the terrace will be furnished with swing seats adorned in florals – an ideal spot to view sunset across London’s cityscape.

For those looking to celebrate payday, 12th Knot will also be hosting Just Ditch Fridays – with a £10 Fever-Tree Spritz Menu and complementary small bites for two between 3-5pm on the last Friday of the month. The Spritz Menu will include refreshing White Wine and Rosé spritzers using The Soda Collection – Fever-Tree’s new range of flavoured sodas including Raspberry & Rose Soda, Mexican Lime Soda, Italian Blood Orange Soda and White Grape & Apricot Soda. As if that’s not enough, 12th Knot will also be introducing ‘Spritz Before Six’ every other Wednesday from 30th June – September where guests can also enjoy the £10 Fever- Tree Spritz Menu and complementary small bites for two.

12th Knot will be open from Thursday, 24th June, with the ‘Sunset Series’ running from June through to the end of August 2021.
