Thai Square a spa with Thai therapeutic heritage, embracing Turkish and Roman influences
July 31, 2019
Light of foot, hydrated, relaxed and completely content with the World, that’s how I felt as I left Thai Square Spa in Northumberland Avenue, London. To get to this ambient state of mind was a pure delight. The spa is high tech, exotic and luxuriously appointed, employing gracious and talented therapists, offering treatments of the highest standard, in sumptuously decorated therapy rooms.
I decided to gain the most from this stunning spa, so it was probably wise to take advantage of the facilities, I spent a good hour indulging prior to my chosen treatment.
The spa features a space designed to help bring your body back into the perfect state of balance. I went between the sauna, steam room, fountain and jacuzzi to stimulate circulation and eliminate toxins, so refreshing. I also decided to experience the Salt House Therapy, using rare Himalayan salt, a blend of Iodine, potassium and bromide minerals and 84 different micro-elements, they work on your body and are excellent for respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and sinusitis. My skin felt clean and refreshed, perfectly ready for the massage to come
The spa design is inspired using the rich textures and colours of Thailand and Turkey with elements of a Roman spa too. The hand crafted wood carvings and gold murals add an authentic historical feel to the spa, the perfect spot to rebalance and harmonise your mind and body.
The spa offers a wide range of treatments for the face and body as well as Ritual Treatments, hand and foot treatments and hair remedies, using the iMantara products with botanical ingredients created to efficiently cleanse and detoxify.
I was fortunate enough to enjoy a facial using the iMantara products, designed to rebalance and hydrate. My therapist was extremely experienced, and my hour in her capable hands was exquisite, the music was soft and was not intrusive, but calming, the therapy couch was wide, warm and comfortable. The facial was superb and exactly what my skin needed, having been on several overseas trips, my complexion was a little patchy, not to mention extremely dehydrated and rough feeling. Following my treatment my skin felt a little more plump, more even textured and smooth, with a soft rosey glow. The products had a beautiful light aroma while feeling rich on to the touch.
The entire few hours at Thai Square Spa was probably among the best I’ve ever had in any spa globally. It was sheer perfection, combining luxurious surroundings and expertly administered treatments ensured this was a visit to be repeated on a regular basis.
