It’s Wimbledon! Of course, that means tennis – but lots of fizz and strawberries and cream too! Here’s where you can catch all the action, as well as indulge in afternoon teas and champagne pop ups. Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Mad Hatter Afternoon Tea at Sanderson
What could be better than champagne in the afternoon at one of our favourite hotels? We’re mad (hatters) for Sanderson London’s latest offering, an oh-so-insta Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Afternoon Tea. Bastille Day Brunch with Citadelle Gin at Neptune at The Principal Hotel
Neptune’s Brett Redman has created a truly gormandise selection of brunch dishes including a triple decker black pudding croque madam, bacon cheeseburger ‘au poivre’ and asparagus and barrel-aged feta omelette.
Citadelle, the world’s most awarded gin from France, will be welcoming guests with a mini G&T and oyster followed by a choice of brunch cocktails – Brotherhood (gin, fino sherry, fino vinegar, bitters, clam and tomato juice with spices), Equality (gin, elderflower, bergamot bitters and Champagne) and Liberty (gin, vermouth, orange bitters and a beer top)

Kensington and Chelsea Art Weekend
With over 50 participants including museums, galleries, artist studios, and iconic local venues, there’s a series of pop-up events, workshops, talks, tours and exhibitions from North Kensington to South Kensington, and along Chelsea Riverside and King’s Road – all part of the Kensington and Chelsea art weekend. Running from Friday 27th July until 29th July, Sloane Square will also be transformed with a dynamic art installation from legendary photographer Terry O’Neill which is open to the public, honouring the people of Kensington and Chelsea through iconic and historic images. Smoke & Salt Collaborate with East London Liquor Company
Pop Brixton’s Smoke & Salt is teaming up with the East London Liquor Company for a six course spirits and plates spectacular! For one night only on 17th July, guests will be treated to mouth watering dishes in Smoke & Salt’s culinary style of ‘Modern Dining – Ancient Techniques’ with dishes like grilled pork collar with baby beetroot, and preserved orange relish, served with a stunning East London Liquor Company pairing and a cocktail on arrival. Afternoon Par-Tea with Cocktail Trading Co
This July, the Cocktail Trading Co is reinventing the quintessentially British pastime of afternoon tea with an ingenious and booze-infused affair. The ‘Afternoon Par-Tea’ will be a cocktail and cake-driven singalong bonanza, all to the backdrop of live rockabilly pop covers. On the first and last Saturday of each month, afternoon tea classics will be reimagined in cocktail form and decadently served in true CTC style. Professional musicians will be on hand to deliver guests their favourite tracks playing a mix of pop covers from Shaggy to Bon Jovi. Tickets are £35pp and available here:
New Opening: Bottles, Spitalfields Market
Opening on the 6th July, brand new Italian wine bar Bottles will open in the Old Spitalfields Market. Co-founders of Bottles and Battles in Mercato Metropolitano are teaming up with pop-up SOOD Family to bring Italian warmth with a London edge to a historic part of London. Franco Mancini and Daniele Marano will be sharing their passion to discover new wines in an unpretentious setting, focusing on quality wines from independent producers and small farms to showcase regional and indigenous varieties. With Italian wines on offer with an International flair, there will be around 180 labels to choose from. Bottomless Cassoulet Party at Comptoir Gascon
On Saturday 14th July, the capital’s Francophiles are invited to celebrate Bastille Day in style at chef Pascal Aussignac’s Comptoir Gascon. For £29pp, guests will enjoy free-flowing Ricard Pastis, followed by bottomless Cassoulet Toulousain, served sharing-style. Outside guests can try their hand at traditional boules-style game Pétanque, whilst in the restaurant traditional French music will create a party atmosphere. Artists in Residence Exhibition at TWO FIFTY ONE
Running until 5th July, you can catch the must-see exhibition Artists in Residence at new luxury landmark development TWO FIFTY ONE in Elephant & Castle. Bringing together works from anonymous street artist Pegasus, local art illustrator Stephen Wiltshire MBE, printmaker Jess Wilson and Instagram photographer Ope O, the artists have created bespoke pieces, all inspired by the area.
Rooftop Cinema at Queen of Hoxton
Rooftop bar Queen of Hoxton are rocking serious Vegas vibes this summer with their ‘Lost Vegas’ takeover. Billed as ‘London’s best new outdoor bar’, you can enjoy a slice of American chic this summer as The Hamptons arrives in the capital.
